The new line features four types of shredded cheese varieties including: quesadilla, Oaxaca, asadero, and Muenster.

“Though not a traditional Hispanic cheese, Muenster has been adapted to authentic dishes because of its mild flavor and high melting factor,” the company said.

Umpqua has updated its Old Fashion Egg Nog with a “kiss” of peppermint flavor. The company’s seasonal peppermint egg nog is rBST hormone free, pasteurized Grade A milk with vitamin D43 added prior to pasteurization.

High protein cheddar cheese crisps

High-protein cheese snack company, Cello Whisps, launched its Cheddar Cello Whisps flavor. The crisp snacks have 10 grams of protein per serving and are made with Wisconsin cheddar cheese without any preservatives or additives. The product also carries the Schuman Cheese “True Cheese” seal on its package.

According to registered dietician Brigitte Zeitlin, Cello Whisps are the ideal way to curb overeating because of their rich protein content.

"The naturally occurring sugar found in milk and dairy products is a natural, healthy form of sugar and is accompanied by the amount of protein in the item, which helps to regulate and prevent a spike in blood sugar," Zeitlin said.

"You want to avoid all products, dairy products included, that have added sugars to them in addition to the naturally occurring ones. Cheese rarely has added sugars.  However you do want to stay away from processed cheeses, as they have other unhealthy additives."

Cheddar Cello Whisps as well as its Parmesan Cello Whisps are a non-processed, single ingredient snack option with zero added sugar. Cello Whisps are sold throughout the US at retailers such as Costco and Walmart.

After Coldpress’ UK launch of Raw Cacao Banana drink, the company has followed it up with another almond milk drink, Very Berry, a mix of blueberries and blackcurrants that launched at the end of November in Sainsbury's.

Coldpress says that for some, a commitment to almond milk stems from its lower cholesterol, carbohydrates, sodium and saturated fats coupled with its better-for-you armory of essential fiber, vitamin B (iron and riboflavin) and omega 3 fatty acids.

Almond Raw Cacao 500ml is currently available for £2.79-£2.99 ($3.55-$3.80) in Waitrose, Ocado, delis, independents, farm shops, health stores and garage forecourts.
