Scotland's largest independent milk processor, Graham's Dairies, has swooped in to buy Scottish Milk Dairies only a week after Robert Wiseman walked away from the deal.
Graham's Dairies is thought to have bought the subsidiary of First Milk for less than the £900,000 offered by Wiseman.
Wiseman, one of the UK's top three dairy processors, pulled out last week after the Office of Fair Trading said it would refer its bid to the Competition Commission.
