The new dairy firm formed out of the merger of Friesland and Campina is to be known as Royal FrieslandCampina, following an official award of the title by Queen Beatrix of The Netherlands.
Following the merger on January 1, the new company expects to have annual revenue will amount to 9.1 billion euros.
“We are very delighted by Her Majesty’s announcement that we have been awarded the title ‘Royal’. We are very proud of the fact that, although our activities are global, our roots are in the Netherlands and go back to the end of the nineteenth century”, said Cees ‘t Hart, CEO of Royal FrieslandCampina.
The official Dutch name is Koninklijke FrieslandCampina N.V.
