Fonterra’s chief financial officer Jonathan Mason will retire in the next six months, the New Zealand-based dairy exporter has announced.
The co-operative added that Mason has agreed to stay on until the end of the financial year while an “international search to replace him” is completed.
Fonterra CEO, Theo Spierings, has praised Mason’s leadership during his spell at the company.
“Jonathan joined Fonterra in the midst of the global financial crisis in 2009 and, under his leadership, ensured the Co-operative’s financial position was strengthened through those difficult times,” said Spierings.
“Jonathan will leave Fonterra in a much stronger position and we are grateful to him for this contribution,” Spierings added.
