Lactiangol inaugurates new production line

Funded by the Angola Development Bank (BDA), the amount invested served to double production capacity, guarantee quality standards and update technical services, focusing on demand.

With this investment, Lactiangol will now have the capacity to produce 1,500 kg/hour of butter, 7,000 liters/day of liquid yogurt, 5,000 liters/day of natural yogurt, 13,000 liters/hour of processing and filling of UHT milk and 20,000 liters/hour of receiving milk.

At the opening ceremony, Industry Minister Bernarda Martins referred to the importance of the project while the country was enduring difficult times, but despite this difficulty, she underlined that it opens the door to follow up on the school food distribution program started by Lactiangol.

Increased profitability

The president of the board of directors of Lactiangol, José César Macedo, said the investment made will translate into increased milk, yogurt, and butter production capacity, competitiveness and profitability for the company.

Founded in March 1994, Lactiangol has 290 employees, and has become the leading dairy industrial unit in Angola.

The company’s products include UHT milk, school milk, chocolate milk, natural and flavored solid yogurt, liquid yogurt, butter, pasteurized juices and ice creams.
