DuoSmart is a paper-plastic combination, combining both materials to ensure freshness in shelf life and enhanced brand communication.
Arla launched flavoured sour creams in Finland which are tailored as ready sauces for meat, chicken and fish in the DuoSmart Light cups.
The firm also switched the packaging of its sweet flavoured quarks from post-printed cups to DuoSmart packaging earlier this year.
DuoSmart Light is different from the standard version as it has no additional paper bottom, which can be used for barcode or nutritional fact printing.
“DuoSmart was a good and easy choice, because with the cardboard sleeve we can reach outstanding printing quality, as high quality products demand high quality packaging,” said Eetu Viuhkonen, junior category manager at Arla Oy.
