UK powder filling systems company PLF International has secured an order for its sixth turnkey project in New Zealand.

Ian Hillaby, sales director at PLF, said the company’s powder filling equipment eliminates product breakdown or the chances of contamination from an auger.

“We have already designed and project managed the largest canning line in China. This is now being reflected in recent orders for turnkey lines, elevating us to be the leading provider of milk formula filling lines in the country,” Hillaby said.

Increased Chinese demand

The investment in PLF is a result of a strong demand from China for New Zealand milk. As a result, licenses are being granted to milk formula producers exporting to China, where product integrity of the product is critical.

PLF International was founded in 1994, and sells vacuum powder filling technology, with a customer base in all continents that includes global brands in the food, pharmaceutical and beverage sectors.

Its other products include in-line gassing systems, laser and bar-code reading systems, and high-speed reject systems.
