More robust and energy efficient system, claims contamination detection machine developer

Eagle Product Inspection gives FoodProductionDaily.com editor, Rod Addy, the lowdown on their latest detection machine targeting operational efficiency and hygienic design.

The x-ray inspection machine for detection contaminants is specifically targeted at meat, poultry and dairy packaged products, where daily sanitation of machinery is mandatory.

Speaking to FoodProductionDaily.com at trade show Pack Expo 2012 in Chicago, Richard Hebel, product manager, Eagle Product Inspection said the machine took less labour, less time away from production and it had a more robust design compared to traditional x-ray systems.

“A quick look and you’ll notice a very robust design compared to traditional x-ray systems, that’s so it can survive in these very harsh washdown environments. Part of that is the actual washdown cycle itself, which can be very time consuming.”

The Eagle Pack 400 HC offers interlocked hinged louvers which can easily be lifted to allow access to the conveyor, eliminating the need of dismantling traditional heavy louvers to clean inside the machine.
