Milk Link opens new cheese packing unit

Milk Link has opened a £1.4 million speciality cheese packing unit at its creamery in Malpas, Cheshire, to meet the exacting standards of retailers.

The unit specialises in cutting and packing traditional farmhouse cheeses from a wide range of small scale producers. Investing in the packing unit will enable the cheese manufacturer and dairy co-operative to cut, pack cheeses for major retail customers.

“Customers such as Waitrose expect very high standards when it comes to packing the food they sell – using Milk Link’s expertise and the latest technology available, they can have confidence that we will meet those standards,”​ said Mark Frankcom, director of the speciality cheese unit at Milk Link.
