Stressing the need for mothers to exclusively breastfeed, the president of the Ghana Heart Foundation reportedly said that parents who feed their child cows’ milk risk seeing them grow-up to behave like the farm animal.

Ghanaian news outlet GhanaWeb.com reported that while speaking on the Super Morning Show on Joy FM earlier this week, Professor Kwabena Frimpong Boateng, president of the Ghana Heart Foundation, warned that “if you want your child to grow and think like a cow, of course, then go ahead and give him cow milk.”

“Our [human] milk contains the type of protein that is supposed to help the cell membranes to develop especially the central membrane system…and then after nine months the child begins to walk or crawl," Boateng was quoted as saying.

"But the cow milk contains a lot of proteins; drink, get strength and go eat grass."
