CPS stay independent following acquisition
to operate as an independent company following its acquisition by
Tetra Laval this month.
Customers and suppliers can expect continuity as Carlisle Process Systems will become Tetra Pak Cheese and Powder Systems, retaining the CPS logo.
Charles Todd, managing director of Tetra Pak Cheese and Powder Systems, said the dairy food and beverage division will continue to serve its UK customer base under the CPS brand name.
"This means that existing customers can work with the same people they have known for years whose priority, as always, is to provide the same great level of service and attention that people have come to expect from CPS," he said.
CPS is one of the top machine suppliers to the UK liquid processing sector, and the acquisition by Tetra Laval, announced in November 2006, brings together the expertise of two of the leading dairy machine manufacturers.
The company said the market power of its new parent should also open up a number of new markets.
The business will operate from its Sherborne site and employ the same sales and engineering team. Tetra Pak said it plans to increased investment in the sales and marketing teams in the future.
As part of its ongoing development following the Tetra Laval's acquisition, the company's process engineering and project management units also will receive increased investment.
