Vinamilk buys two GEA dairy processing lines

Vietnam-based Vinamilk has placed a €30m order with GEA Process Engineering for two complete dairy processing lines to be used in the production of infant formula.

The order, which was won in an open tender originally released in January, includes delivery of two GEA Process Engineering wet mix plants, two GEA Niro spray dryers, and two GEA Colby powder handling and retail filling plants.

Once up and running the two processing lines will have a capacity to produce 4 ton of infant formula per hour. Production is scheduled to start in August 2012 and will serve the both the domestic market in Vietnam and export markets.
