Ukraine’s Roshen gets green light for dairy exports to China

PJSC Vinnytsia dairy plant "Roshen" has been given approval to export its dairy products to China.

The range of dairy products the company can now supply there is broad - milk powder, partly skimmed milk, sweetened milk powder, skimmed milk powder, flavored milk powder, condensed milk, butter and other milk fats.

The factory, which started production in 2014, creates a variety of milk powders, sweet butter, olein, stearin, as well as milk for use in Roshen’s confectionery and other snack businesses.

Dmitry Roshchupkin, CEO of Vinnytsia dairy plant Roshen, said exporting products is only 50% about the export itself, the remainder is adherence to schedules, delivery and commitment.

Exports to 43 countries

Last year, the company started delivering products to the EU; its products are now exported to 43 countries, including the EU, Asia, North and South America and Africa.

The factory complex utilizes equipment from Tetra Pak. Production lines can create up to 50 tons of dry milk products per day, as well as 30 tons of oil, 10 tons of milk fat, 18 tons of butterfat and up to 50 tons of condensed milk.

In 2016, production was 34,800 tons, of which exports accounted for 10,700 tons.
