Clondalkin Kirchberg, the Switzerland based subsidiary of Clondalkin Group, has developed an aluminum free butterfoil for the dairy sector.

The PE based foil is an alternative material  for aluminum and can be printed in up to 10 colors.

Sander Kool, commercial director, Clondalkin Kirchberg, said due to customer demand it was focusing on environmental friendly products and the company was ‘a pioneer’ in the development of PET lidding, an alternative to traditional aluminum lids.

This latest development for butter packaging is another step in offering alternatives to aluminum structures,” said Kool.

Sustainability is one of the key drivers of our corporate social responsibility policy. We put continuous effort in finding alternative resources and reducing carbon footprint.”
