Colbert Packaging installs Mark Andy label press

Related tags Printing

Colbert Packaging has installed a Mark Andy Performance Series P5 for pressure-sensitive roll label applications at its flexographic printing facility, in Illinois, US.

The P5 features a 13-inch web width and four-color print process with rapid changeovers and reduced spoilage.

Brad Davis, vice president and general manager, Colbert Flexographic Packaging, told DairyReporter, the Mark Andy P5 produces both paper and film-based labels and the quick change die cut system allows the operator to slide a new rotary die in seconds.

The technology is an addition to Colbert Packaging’s existing equipment including a narrow web folding carton press, a nine-color flexo press, an additional pressure-sensitive label press, multiple label inspection presses and folder-gluers.

In addition to labels, folding cartons and product information inserts are produced at the facility, which is close to Colbert Packaging’s headquarters.
