German food ingredients supplier Degussa BioActives is one step closer to the reality of e-commerce operations. The company announced this week that it has launched an updated version of its current web site to provide the user with more online information.
The revamped web site provides a range of new automatic functions to include an 'event manager', an automatic e-mail information service and more extensive product information.
When asked about e-commerce projects for the future Daniela Doering, head of communication for Degussa told FoodNavigator.com: " We have e-commerce projects in the pipeline which are due for completion in the third quarter of this year."
"E-commerce activity for each of the four business units at Degussa will initially work independently. Ultimately there will be total e-commerce harmony between the four units," Doering added.
