Prescient Systems, a US-based provider of supply chain planning solutions, has supplied ice-cream maker Wells' Dairy with a Prescient XEi for its supply chain planning operations.
Wells' Dairy specified Prescient XEi to support its business needs, from Demand Planning to Advanced Planning & Scheduling, and provide accurate data for its Sales and Operations Planning initiatives.
Based in Iowa, Wells' Dairy is the largest family-owned and managed dairy processor in the US. The company manufactures and packages more than 2,000 products, from ice cream and frozen novelties to fresh dairy products.
"When Wells decided to enhance its planning capabilities, we had a vision of what we wanted and stringent standards," said Mike Sorensen, Production Planning Supervisor for Wells' Dairy. "We chose Prescient because its software will allow us to create a master demand plan, give us a new level of visibility into our supply chain and improve the accuracy of our internal planning processes. Wells' Dairy is implementing multiple components of Prescient XEi, Prescient's flagship supply chain planning solution, including Sales & Operation Planning, Demand Planning and Advanced Planning & Scheduling.
