Serac, the French company which is exhibiting at today's AnugaTec, has expanded its product range with the addition of pre-formed cup packaging machines for milk products and desserts.
The company now markets continuous and step-by-step dosing machines, multi-track linear machines and rotary indexed machines.
There is now a distinct trend towards a variety of fresh products marketed in pre-formed containers which is continuing to grow, as evidenced by the huge displays of such packaged goods now available in supermarkets throughout Europe.
In the past few years, several increasingly sophisticated products have appeared on the shelves, like profiteroles, floating islands and crème brûlées, without mentioning more classic products such as the increasing variety of flavoured yoghurts.
Serac says it is weighing a large part of its future business on the growth in this high value added market and the company expects to invest in a range of new equipment to feed demand.
