Dairy company Yeo Valley Organic recorded a number of successes at this year's Royal Bath and West agricultural show in the UK. The firm was awarded seven prizes for its yoghurts and desserts.
The company's strawberry, raspberry and blackcurrant wholemilk range took first place in the fruit yoghurt class. Its wholemilk natural and wholemilk plum took first and second prizes in the organic yoghurt category and its pot au chocolat, coffee pannacotta and vanilla pannacotta lifted three of the top four places in the speciality dairy product class.
In addition, the brand also came away with a second prize in the natural stirred yoghurt class.
"The Bath and West show always draws a very big entry for its dairy awards, so there is intense competition, which puts a lot of value on these prizes." said Yeo Valley Organic managing director Graham Keating.
"We always set out to produce the very best products in the market and though we are always taste testing ours against rival brands, it is still important to enter competitions like this to check just how highly independent judges rate us.
"Our Fat Free yoghurts were recently voted 'Best Health Food Range' in a consumer poll. Now that we have taken these prizes as well it's turning into a vintage year of awards for us."
