Live at Emballage
Emballage opens on hopeful note
exhibiting packaging and processing machines to food, drink,
cosmetics and pharmaceutical companies.
About 53 per cent of the companies are from outside France, from 49 different countries. Two years ago the bi-annual Emballage attracted 108,000 visitors, and organisers say they hope to get the same amount this year.
However, yesterday the halls throughout the show seemed sparsely frequented and this morning the visitor numbers looks about the same.
When asked about the numbers this year, an Emballage spokesperson gave a Gallic shrug and didn`t answer. A hopeful exhibitor told FoodProductionDaily.com that sometimes visitors tended to show up later in the week.
Emballage runs alongside the World Food Process exhibition.
The programme includes upcoming talks on packaging distribution, marketing strategies, wine branding and design.
Over at the processing side of the exhibition, Campden & Chorleywood Food Research Association are due to present talks on novel heating technologies and on new developments in high pressure techniques.
Ahmed ElAmin from FoodProductionDaily.com, Chris Mercer from BeverageDaily.com, and Catherine Boal from ConfectionaryNews.com are covering the show.
They can be contacted either in the press room or by visiting Decision News Media`s stand in Hall 3 E0041 bis.
Emballage ends on 24 November.
