FrieslandCampina reports jump in annual sales and profits

- Last updated on GMT

FrieslandCampina has reported a 10 per cent increase in annual revenue but the top-line has some way to go before reaching 2008 levels.

More favourable market conditions, especially in Africa and Asia, helped the Dutch dairy take 2010 revenues to €8,972m.

The improvement comes after a collapse in selling prices and volumes caused a 14 per cent drop in total revenue in 2009.

As the integration of Friesland and Campina reached completion, the co-op announced a 68 per cent increase in operating profit to €434m.
