Sun Chips quiets its noisy 'green' bag
Frito-Lay received praise from tree-huggers when it first launched its Sun Chips in compostable bags, but the eco-friendly film made a great deal of noise when crinkled. After going back to the drawing board, the company created another compostable bag, with the two layers sandwiched with a rubbery adhesive that acts as a noise barrier.
