Crediton Dairy’s Moo with 30% less sugar
UK flavored milk producer Crediton Dairy’s Moo has launched a product reformulation with 30% less sugar, as well as adding some seasonal flavors.
The changes have been introduced across the entire Moo range of flavored milks. Based on the volumes sold in 2015, the company says this equates to the removal of 108 tonnes of granulated white sugar from Moo.
Nick Bartlett, Crediton Dairy’s head of sales & marketing, said, “Our approach has also included a determination not to resort to the use of artificial sweeteners to reduce the added sugar content. As such, we have achieved out initial goal of a 30% reduction in sugar through altering the recipe and using a new kind of natural flavoring to help enhance the sweetness.”
The Moo Limited Editions, available in a one-liter pack size, start with a Vanilla flavour for summer, followed by a Caramel flavor for fall.
