For the second year, Dutch dairy company FrieslandCampina has been given PublicAffairsAsia’s Gold Standard Award for Corporate Citizenship (Regional Programme) 2016.

The award, presented at the annual Gold Standard Awards ceremony in Hong Kong, is given for the development of a corporate social responsibility (CSR), good governance or sustainability project that strengthens corporate reputation, and demonstrates an ongoing commitment to sustainable business practices.

FrieslandCampina’s Drink.Move.BeStrong (DMBS) movement, which has been recognized by this year’s award, is an initiative that seeks to raise the nutritional status of families through the combined benefits of good nutrition and exercise.

Piet Hilarides, COO, consumer products Asia, FrieslandCampina, said the DMBS movement demonstrates that by taking a collaborative approach, it is possible to address the rise of non-communicable diseases through the promotion of good nutrition.
