La Newyorkina offers a taste of Mexico with authentic paletas
Consumers seeking global and authentic flavors could find their sweet spot with La Newyorkina Mexican Ice and Sweets’ new boxes of paletas and paletitas launching into grocery stores this summer. Founded by a Mexican native and James Beard nominated chef, the brand built a name for itself first selling out of a cart and then a shop and booth at a food market. Now it continues to grow with boxes of eight paletitas in a wide range of flavors, including mango with chili, Oaxacan chocolate, cucumber with lime and coconut. The coconut and cucumber options even come with real pieces of coconut and ribbons of cucumber skin for authentic flavor, texture and natural color.
