Malta Dairy Products announces new products and plans to invest €3m in company
Also, as part of an ongoing capital investment program that has already reached around €17m ($19.9m) over the past 10 years, Malta Dairy Products has announced a further capital investment of €3m ($3.5m) in more plants and machinery, to reach new markets for Maltese dairy products.
Packaging changes
The company has updated its logo, as well as adding a ‘’FARMER OWNED – QUALITY GUARANTEE’’ badge to its products.
The cooperative said the underlying concept behind ‘Farmer Owned’ is that care is taken at every step of the journey of milk from the cow to the consumer’s table, as the products are made from 100% Maltese milk that comes from the dairy farmers that own the company.
As well as the logo, the packaging for the company’s milk products has also been refreshed.
There is new packaging for the Fresh Skimmed Milk, Fresh Milk 2.5% fat, Fresh Whole Milk, Fresh Lactose Free Milk and Fresh Milkshakes.
Another innovation in the milk cartons is the introduction of a new environmentally-friendly cap on all cartons.
New products
To coincide with the changes, the company is also adding new products: Pure Butter, made from 100% Maltese cream; TAR-RAĦĦAL Maltese Cheese (in different varieties); Lactose Free Irkotta; Coconut Milkshake; and Lactose Free Fresh Milk, which will now also be available in 500ml cartons.
