Nestlé Mexico has announced the investment of 100m pesos ($5.25m) in its Lácteos Lagos de Moreno factory, to double its capacity to receive fresh milk in the region.

This investment covers the installation of six new unloading bays with a reception capacity of up to 3.6m liters of milk per day, directly benefiting 450 milk producers and 40 transport lines.

Marco Guimaraes, from Nestlé Mexico, said the factory collects 16% of the total production of fresh milk from the Jalisco region, which represents the purchase of 460m liters of milk and 365m liters of whey per year.
