Exclusive: The state of the Russian dairy industry

In spite of the ban on European products – including dairy – entering Russia, the internal dairy industry seems to be on a firm footing in spite of some challenges, according to Andrey Oleynik, chairman of the board of directors of Kuban agroholding, one of the largest agribusinesses in Southern Russia.

Kuban Agro, the largest agricultural company in southern Russia, has produced 233 transplant dairy heifers over the last two years, becoming the first Russian agricultural company to adopt embryo transfer technology in the Holstein breed.
