Oystar to present new yoghurt packing machines at Interpack

Two new form, filling and sealing (FFS) machines for the dairy industry are among the innovations that Oystar is presenting at Interpack this year.

The German packaging machinery group is planning to use the trade show in Dusseldorf this May as a launch pad for several new innovations.

For the dairy industry, a new FFS machine called the THM 8/48 will be displayed that can package up to 12,000 yoghurt cups an hour and is equipped with a multi-function stamping machine.

With the aid of two-axle robot equipped with a suction griper, the yoghurts can be loaded onto trays at a rate of up to 2,100 trays an hour.

At Interpack, Oystar will also be presenting the Ecoform FFS machine, which is suitable for a range of dairy products including yoghurts, desserts and cream cheese.

The machine is being marketed on its usability and size. Oystar said no detailed training is required to operate the machine; with the user manual customers can learn to use the machine themselves.

It can manufacture up 14,000 cups, ranging in size from 5g to 150g, per hour in a small amount of space, according to the company.

Other food packing innovations

Alongside these new products for dairy customers, Oystar is launching other new pieces of equipment for the food industry at Interpack. These include a carton packaging machine called the Legend 120, capable of making 120 cartons a minute of up to 30cm in size.

Oystar is also presenting a new wrapping machine for pasty products at Interpack. With an output of 100 packages a minute and format flexibility of 50 to 1000g, the Multipack 3000 is being hailed by the company as “the most flexible single-cell filling and wrapping for pasty products.”

Finally, Oystar will be showcasing a new Human Machine Interface (HMI) panel that it plans to integrate into on all future machines so that customers only have to familiarise themselves with one navigation concept.
