Tisma launches cartoner designed for confectionery needs

SWF Companies' Tisma Division has launched a high speed, small centre TC 100 vertical cartoner, which is claimed to reach speeds of up to 1000 cartons per minute.
The TC 100 is designed for applications including candy, chewing gum, cough drops, snack foods, and a variety of other free flowing products.
The system is said to work well with a variety of filling and closing methods and various carton styles.
The company says that advanced engineering has developed patented filling systems including the UltraTrack and the MemoryTrack. These filling systems have a unique combination of controls, features, and carton track designs that dramatically increase fill time and decrease materials used in count-fill, volumetric fill, and combination scale applications. Carton closing options include straight or reverse tuck, glue, and hybrid combinations. Carton styles that can be run on the system range from traditional straight fold, through to twin cell, to flip top carton closing.
Made of stainless steel construction and featuring an innovative design, the TC 100 includes quick changeover capabilities. Carton style changeovers can be done quickly and easily due to precision-milled, adjustable carton pockets (which also provide precision carton handling), calibrated adjustment blocks and digital readouts at changeover locations.
Standard features on the equipment include a powered 6' carton magazine, outboard drive for easy access, NEMA 12 wiring, powered discharge conveyor and user friendly PLC based controls. Additional standard features include a carton supply magazine with powered feed-up and carton alarm, gear driven rotary vacuum carton placer, guarding made of hinged Lexan cover panels with stainless steel frames and safety electrical interlocks. Available options include coders, checkweighers, metal detectors, and vision systems.
