Global fruit juice manufacturer Del Monte has become the first company to launch a 330ml PET bottle for 100 per cent ambient fruit juices in the UK.
The new Del Monte World Fruits range, comprising four exotic flavours, is being packed in a Heat Set PET bottle from Amcor PET Packaging, produced at Amcor's UK factory in Gresford. The bottles are hot filled at 85ºC, giving the product a 6 month ambient shelf life.
Latest market data shows the increasing popularity of 100 per cent juices as part of the demand for products that reflect consumers' continuing interest in health and well-being.

"Our bottle is lightweight, unbreakable and in its 330ml size particularly convenient for on-the-move drinking," said Amcor's vice president of sales and marketing Phil Gunning.
"As such, it is ideal for helping to establish Del Monte brands in a competitive and crowded market."
The transparent heat set bottle is decorated with a sleeve and features a closure supplied by Amcor White Cap.
