CLA, full-fat dairy linked to lower bowel cancer risk

High intake of conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), a type of fat found
naturally in cow's milk, is associated with a significantly lower
risk of bowel cancer, shows a new Swedish study.
Feeding cows sunflower oil more than doubled levels of conjugated
linoleic acids in cheese made from their milk, says new research,
improving the fatty acids' potential in functional dairy
development.
There is evidence to support the putative link between consumption
of milk products and ovarian cancer risk, finds a new meta-analysis
of epidemiological studies, but the case is far from cut and dried.
