A new machine can put labels on both oblong-shaped containers and
round bottles at high speeds, claims its manufacturer.

Manufacturers looking to diversify their product lines are searching for machines that can be easily adapted to different packaging lines.

Label-Aire says its Inline 6000 is an open frame labelling system that can be fitted with wipe-on, air-blow, or tamp-blow applicators. It and can label packaging at speeds of up to 1,200 inches per minute, the company claims.

The Inline 6000 works by spinning round bottles against a pressure plate at the application point, reducing labelling defects such as winkling, Label-Aire claimed.

When labelling oblong containers, the machine uses a chain aligner to set them up at a predetermined point on its surface. The machine then spins the package for several revolutions against the pressure plate.

The Inline 6000 is equipped with aluminum or stainless steel side plates for easy washdowns and ruggedness, said the company.

It is also fitted with a chain conveyor with a length of between six and twelve feet, and a width of between 4.5 inches and 6 inches.

Label-Aire is the labeling machinery arm of Impaxx and is based in Fullerton, California.
