A new horizontal wrapper suitable for handling delicate products
such as tray baked goods, biscuits and chocolate confectionery has
been developed by Bosch packaging subisidary, Tevopharm.

The Pack 201 wrapper has speeds ranging from between 10 to 250 products per minute and can operate as an individual piece of equipment or part of a wider system.

Tevopharm claim the machine is easy-to-maintain, reliable and adaptable due to its simple design.

Cantilevered infeed, fin wheels and cutting head are designed to accommodate products requiring strict standards of sanitation such as frozen or chilled items.

And the machine can form part of a bigger system with the possibility of linking it to secondary packaging, product handling and other feed modules.

Bosch packaging technology product manager Philippe Hagen said: "Pack 201 horizontal wrapper demonstrates how Bosch Packaging Technology leverages its global resources to bring innovative, flexible and productive packaging machinery to the marketplace that can be adapted to fit individual customer requirements."

Pack 201 is the first in a new line of packaging equipment for Tevopharm which is based in the Netherlands and supplies the confectionery and pharmaceutical industries with industrial machinery.

"New machines in the series will incorporate a similar design and implementation process ensuring that challenges and solutions from around the world are addressed," the company said in a statement.

The company will be showcasing products at the Emballage trade fair in Paris which runs from 20-24 November 2006.
