Cheesemaker the Wensleydale Creamery has invested £350,000 in new equipment to expand into the burgeoning £90M blended cheese category.

The cheese firm, based at Hawes, north Yorkshire, has launched smaller blended cheese taster packs, in response to consumer demand for convenience.

Wensleydale Creamery md David Hartley said: “Consumers are increasingly demanding convenience and requesting smaller, more accessible pack sizes, driven by the growth in smaller household size and expansion of smaller retailer outlets.
