Müller UK & Ireland has appointed Bergen Merey as md of its Müller Dairy business.

He will join the yogurt and chilled desserts manufacturer on May 4 2015 from Procter & Gamble (P&G), where he has spent the past 25 years.

Most recently he was vice president of the snack and personal grooming firm.

Before this, he held a number of leadership roles within P&Gs snacks category, including general manager of its global Pringles brand.

The appointment will allow Andrew McInnes to revert back to chief financial officer of Müller Dairy, having held the position of acting md.

Ronald Kers, ceo of Müller Group, said Merey’s experience, leadership, drive and energy would be “crucial” for the development of the business.

Meanwhile, having frozen its milk price for February, Müller UK & Ireland refused to guarantee prices for the remainder of the year.
