Odysea launch new spreadable feta product
Produced by leading family-owned Greek feta cheese maker, Roussas Dairy, the spread uses only pasteurised sheep’s milk and real Greek yogurt to achieve what the company calls “a truly authentic, great tasting product aimed at foodies and cheese connoisseurs.”
Many of the production methods used to produce the feta and Greek yogurt in the spread have been passed down from the Roussas family’s nomadic forefathers, the Sarakatsani.
“Utilizing traditional Greek recipes and centuries of expertise, this new feta product further establishes Roussas Dairy as the pioneer of organic feta production in Greece,” the company states.
Joins long list of products
Suitable for vegetarians, the spread is available in 180g plastic tubs with a RRP of $3.28 (£2.25) and joins Odysea’s portfolio of feta products, which include Great Taste Award winning Organic Feta Cheese, Odysea Barrel Aged Feta Cheese and Odysea 100% Sheep’s Milk Feta Cheese.
Panos Manuelides, founder of Odysea said: “We are pleased to be able to add this delicious and innovative Feta & Greek Yoghurt spread to our range of feta-based products, many of which are award-winning. I believe consumers will appreciate the heritage and production methods used by Roussas Dairy to produce the spread and achieve optimal flavour and quality.
