Atos signs deal with Elopak for software
Elopak has chosen a new ERP (enterprise resource planning) system as part of a business improvement project.

Atos, a digital services company, will provide application operations services for the SAP HANA platform to Elopak.

Elopak chose SAP software as the ERP system based on the SAP HANA platform, providing it with supply chain technology.

Atos will provide Elopak services to establish a SAP software landscape with Basis operations and AIX on-demand services.

Elopak, owned by the Norwegian private equity company Ferd, is best known for its gable top cartons under the Pure-Pak brand for packaging of non-carbonated liquid food products such as milk, dairy products, juices, wine, water and soups.

Flemming J. Jensen, CEO at Atos in Denmark & Sweden, said the four year contract builds on an already established partnership.

“We are looking forward to continue working with the Elopak team in supporting their business objectives and meeting their goals of cost efficiency and low-risk processes.”

Atos said SAP HANA offers improved visibility and flexibility of data across the organization, in a faster, more consistent approach and at a lower cost of ownership.

Erik Blaafjell, CIO of Elopak, said it was delighted to continue the partnership with Atos.

“This is an exciting and challenging time for Elopak, and the team at Atos has shown us that they have an industrial approach and extensive experience in operating SAP ERP and SAP HANA.”

In 2015, including joint ventures, the firm employed more than 2,800 people and produced 13 billion cartons. It has organizations and associates in more than 40 countries, 12 manufacturing plants and customers in 80 plus countries.
