Italy’s GualapackGroup has bought Mexican company Excel Nobleza S.A.P.I. de C.V., after announcing earlier in the month it had partnered with Aptar to launch a premade "no-spill" spouted pouch.

The two companies, which work in the technologies of premade spouted pouches and no-spill valves, entered a strategic agreement to create the product.

The companies said the "No-Spill" Spouted Pouch integrated system offers the safety and convenience of the Aptar SimpliSqueeze valve in the squeezable Cheerpack spouted pouch.

They said the resulting package means that the contents, such as drinkable yogurt or juice, will not leak when tipped or even held upside down.

The SimpliSqueeze valve is the top-selling valve system worldwide, with almost 30bn units sold.
