Glanbia Nutritionals introducing new dairy products at IFT17

Glanbia Nutritionals, a global nutrition and formulation company, is showcasing new ingredients at IFT17 Food Expo in Las Vegas, June 25-28. 

Freeze-dried cheese

Included in the new products is the company’s new Freeze Dried Cheese, which is a shelf-stable dairy food that delivers real cheddar or mozzarella cheese once rehydrated, although it can also be used in dehydrated form.

Grass-fed​ whey protein

Glanbia Nutritionals, working in partnership with Glanbia Ingredients Ireland, now also supplies Truly Grass Fed whey protein to the US market. The ingredients come from Ireland and are 95% grass fed, Non-GMO Project Verified, with no artificial hormones.

Plant-based protein fortification

Glanbia Nutritionals will be promoting its new BevEdge Pea Protein, which Glanbia Nutritionals says is an advance in the dispersibility, mouthfeel and flavor of pea protein in powdered drink mixes. 

BevEdge Pea Protein mixes instantly in water, and is neutral to taste.

Vitafoods

At the recent Vitafoods event in Geneva, Switzerland, Dagmar Ortlepp, Glanbia Nutritionals marketing manager, told DairyReporter the company sees several trends, including plant-based products.

Other trends the company is working on include clean label, healthy aging, and sports nutrition. 

She said people that are not really sports enthusiasts are looking for tasty food providing functionality, so sports nutrition is influencing the mainstream.
