Israeli food company G. Willi-Food International Ltd., which specializes in the development, marketing and international distribution of kosher foods, has announced the company's wholly-owned subsidiary, Gold Frost Ltd., received notice from Arla Foods amba, ending their exclusive distribution agreement effective December 31, 2017.

Willi-Food said the termination may have a significant negative impact on the its operating results, although the company said it will be able to enter into agreements in the near future with alternative suppliers for a portion of the products currently purchased from Arla.

Willi-Food is engaged directly and through its subsidiaries in the design, import, marketing and distribution of more than 600 food products worldwide.

The company markets and sells its food products to more than 1,500 customers in Israel and around the world, including large retail and private supermarket chains, wholesalers and institutional consumers.

Earlier in the week, the company announced Amir Kaplan had been appointed as chief financial officer. It also announced Yitschak Barabi, the former interim chief financial officer, has been appointed as controller and deputy chief financial officer.
