Global Dairy Trade has announced three additional dairy ingredient suppliers are to participate on GDT Marketplace, its 24/7 dairy trading platform.

The new sellers are: Glanbia Ireland, Ireland’s largest diary processor; Cayuga Milk Ingredients, a dairy cooperative from New York State, US, and New Zealand food ingredient supplier Milligans Food Group Ltd.

Eric Hansen, director of GDT said GDT Marketplace’s strength in discovering new demand and communicating product range and availability to a global pool of buyers continues to attract new sellers.

“GDT Marketplace acts like a global shop front, connecting buyers and sellers and allowing transactions of any dairy products at any time, with no minimum quantity requirements,” Hansen said.

Listing from this month

GDT Marketplace has grown over the past six months, with 11 registered sellers and 239 registered buyers from the US, Western Europe, Oceania and Asia.

Ian Cahill, Glanbia Ireland’s regional sales development manager said the company has appointed Greenfields Ireland - an international dairy trading company - to manage all aspects of liaison with buyers relating to the products Glanbia Ireland will offer on GDT Marketplace.

Glanbia Ireland will be offering Premium UHT Milk in Tetra Edge Aseptic packaging format, while Cayuga Milk Ingredients will be selling SMP in UHT packaging.

Milligans Food Group Ltd’s products will be 1kg packaged WMP and SMP, and Powder Blends including 1kg instant calcium-enriched powder and soft serve ice cream blends.

All three sellers will offer listings on GDT Marketplace from this month.
