Stork launches new Coconut Oil

In the UK, Stork has launched Stork 100% Coconut Oil to the market, offering a substitute to butter and spreads for the growing number of consumers seeking vegan and free-from baking products.

Stork 100% Coconut Oil has been formulated for dairy-free baking and cooking, offering all the benefits of coconut oil without the coconut taste.

Steven Hermiston, general manager at Upfield, said, “We know that there has been an increase in the number of consumers adopting vegan buying behaviors as the shift towards more natural food products continues.

“As a category leader, we continually strive to answer consumer needs and identified that there was a gap in the market for a vegan baking block, which is why we introduced Stork 100% Coconut Oil. It provides consumers with a dairy-free product from a well-known and trusted baking brand, and is set to bring incremental value to the butters and spreads category by tapping into two of the biggest consumer trends - coconut oil and free-from.”

New Stork 100% Coconut Oil features a metallic foil wrapper including 50g markings on the underside for easy measurement. The fact that it is suitable for ‘vegan baking’ is clearly communicated on the front of pack.

Stork 100% Coconut Oil is available in cases of 10 and has an RRP of £2.95 ($3.87) per unit.

Laura Chenel’s launches Cranberry & Cinnamon Medallion

Californian company Laura Chenel’s is adding Cranberry & Cinnamon to its fresh chèvre Medallion Collection, offering a seasonal flavor to the line of 3.5-ounce disk-shaped goat cheese Medallions for the fourth quarter holiday period. And with an accessible price point and myriad usage possibilities, our Cranberry & Cinnamon Medallion will benefit from impulse purchases made during this time of year.”

The full line of 3.5-ounce cheeses in the Medallion Collection is made using only fresh goat milk from nearby farms in the western region of the US. Variants include Cranberry & Cinnamon; Poppy Seed & Peppercorn; Sun-dried Tomato & Basil; Chives & Shallots; Fig & Grapefruit; and Original. All have a SRP of $3.99 per unit.
