Ben & Jerry’s Moo-phoria new flavors

Ben & Jerry’s evolved its decades-old dessert brand earlier this year when it launched its first line of light ice cream in response to consumer demand.

Moo-phoria debuted in early 2018 with three flavors: P.B. Dough, Caramel Cookie Fix, and Chocolate Milk & Cookies. They rolled out nationwide over the last few months.

It’s now expanding the better-for-you collection with four new flavors: Cherry Garcia with a Twist, Mocha Fudge Brownie, PB Marshmallow, and Chocolate Cookie EnlightenMint. Each light flavor averages about 150 calories per half-cup serving, which doesn’t get quite as low as category-leading Halo Top does with some flavors at 70 calories per half-cup.

Sarah Fidler, a flavor guru at Ben & Jerry’s, said the Moo-phoria line “still delivers on chunks and swirls and indulgence that you expect from Ben & Jerry’s. We saw a need in the market for something that’s a little bit better for you. It still is the same ingredients that we use in our ice cream, just in different portions.”
