The company’s ambient drinking yogurt, Promess, won an award at Gulfood, as it did in another huge show previously, at SIAL in Paris.
DairyReporter spoke with Soriya Jamet, commercial export sales, and Marine Migné, R&D engineer, at Gulfood.
The Halal-certified Promess drinking yogurt launched in November in more than 30 countries in Asia, Africa and the Middle-East.
The drink is packaged in a Tetra Prisma Aseptic 200ml carton with a long shelf-life at ambient temperature, without added preservatives, and addresses the rise of on-the-go consumption combined with healthy products.
Alexandre Zeitlin, export director, Lactinov, said Promess is the result of two years of R&D.
“Part of Lactinov’s strategy is to expand in export markets with products made from our own milk collection such as plain or flavored milk,” Zeitlin said.
“We are happy to add some value-added products to this range, such as this ambient drinking yogurt.
“Partnerships with manufacturers such as Tetra Pak, enabled us to find the appropriate packaging to meet export demands.”
10-month shelf-life
The Tetra Prisma Aseptic pack has a 10-month shelf-life and Tetra Pak worked with Lactinov to ensure the packaging was transportable overseas with outer cartons, which contain 24 single units and come with a handle to pick-up them up easily.
Gilles Tisserand, marketing director, Tetra Pak France & Benelux, said, “We are happy to support the launch of Promess Ambient Drinking Yogurt with Lactinov.
“The Tetra Prisma Aseptic 200ml is the perfect fit for this product. It is convenient, easy to use and drink from and it offers a modern design that goes with the product. It is the result of a strong partnership with Lactinov to conceive the right packaging that makes the product easy to export.”
