As glass bottles become more popular because of sustainability concerns, Fogg Filler, a US company that designs and manufactures rotary filling systems for the liquids industry, has designed and engineered new lifter pedestals for glass bottle filling.

Fogg's new lifter design for glass bottles now come with the option of a gas spring.

Previously, all Fogg lifters used standard metal springs, which the company says are great for most bottles, however, these gas springs provide a gentler release, ensuring an extra level of security that that glass bottle will move smoothly through the filler.

These new lifters are paired with Fogg's Acculift technology for a more accurate and precise alignment with the valves. As the lifters rise, the Acculift system holds the bottle in place so that it cannot move or sway, risking the valve tip hitting the bottle.

This pairing will make sure that valves will not collide with the neck of the bottles, risking damage to the machinery or bottles.

The new style lifters, like the classic lifters, can be designed for quick change back pockets for ease of changeover in the case of multiple bottles.
