Müller Yogurt & Desserts has appointed Michael Inpong as strategy director to help accelerate sustainable and profitable growth.

The new role sits alongside his current responsibilities as chief marketing officer, and begins with immediate effect.

Müller manufacturers brands including Müller Corner, Müllerlight and Müller Rice, and produces chilled desserts under license from Mondelez International, and supplies the UK private label yogurt market from a dedicated yogurt facility.

The creation of the strategy director role follows the recent senior appointments of Jonathan Piper as commercial director, brand, and David Hollins as commercial director, private label & food service.

Bergen Merey, CEO at Müller Yogurt & Desserts, said the company is taking organizational steps to strengthen its core brands, develop a leading private label proposition, and innovate to target parts of the category where the company has limited or no presence.

“Müller customers will continue to benefit from our first-class marketing campaigns, capabilities and product innovation, and Michael will also add weight to long term consumer and customer centric thinking,” Merey said.

“Alongside making great tasting products that are made in Britain with milk from British farms, we will focus on developing and executing a number of strategic initiatives that are not only designed to add taste to life, but will deliver both medium and long term profitable and sustainable growth.”
