Joi introduces plant-based coffee creamer concentrate

US plant-based brand JOI has launched the first coffee creamer base: Cashew Hazelnut Oat Creamer Concentrate.

The product is shelf stable for up to nine months. Designed specifically for coffee and tested by baristas, the creamer concentrate is the latest addition to JOI’s range of plant milk-alternative concentrates, which include an Almond Base, Cashew Base, Organic Almond Base and Organic Cashew Base.

JOI’s Cashew Hazelnut Oat Creamer Concentrate consists of five ingredients: cashews, gluten-free oats, hazelnuts, organic pea protein and Himalayan salt. When blended with water, it becomes a custom creamer. Once made, the creamer can last up to seven days refrigerated.

“The Cashew Hazelnut Oat Creamer Concentrate is our solution to a more effective and delicious plant-based creamer,” said Hector Gutierrez, CEO of JOI.

“Current creamer alternatives on the market are filled with oils and additives, and do not steam or foam in the way that dairy-based creamers do. Our concentrate features whole and natural ingredients, mimics real creamer, and has a customizable consistency so you can create your own perfect cup of coffee.”

The creamer contains 4g of protein and 5g of healthy fats per serving.

Mooala launches Keto Mylk

Dallas, US, based Mooala, maker of organic, dairy-free beverages, has introduced the industry's first Keto Mylk. Keto Mylk is available for purchase now in shelf-stable, 33.8oz cartons online and refrigerated, 48oz multi-serve bottles at Sprouts stores nationwide. Keto Mylk will also be sold in approximately 1,000 major retail stores across the US in the first quarter of 2021, including Wegmans, Whole Foods, Safeway-Albertsons and others.

The plant-based keto market is significantly underserved, and Mooala is filling a gap that has long existed," said Karen Pendergrass, CEO of the Keto Certified Foundation.

To give Keto Mylk its flavor, Mooala uses a blend of organic coconut cream and organic MCT oil derived from coconuts. All four flavors are certified USDA organic, plant-based, dairy-free, gluten-free, soy-free, carrageenan-free and non-GMO.

Mooala Keto Mylk joins the brand's full line of both refrigerated and shelf-stable, organic plant-based beverages. Offerings include Almondmilk, Bananamilk, Oatmilk and Creamers.
