The European Dairy Association (EDA) has announced the details of its Annual Convention 2021.

It will take place in Hotel Leopold, in Brussels, Belgium, on Friday October 1, from 10:45 to 13:15.

Taking place a few days after the UN Food Systems summit, the EDA event will look at the topic of sustainable food systems and the role of European dairy.

The conference begins with Professor Roel Jongeneel of Wageningen University in the Netherlands setting the scene and addressing the European ambitions for livestock and dairy. Under the current Slovenian EU presidency, the keynote will be given by Aleš Irgolič, the Slovenian State Secretary for Agriculture, followed by Lukáš Víšek (Member of cabinet of European Commission First Executive Vice President Frans Timmermans) and Hester Maij (RFC corporate director public & regulatory affairs). A podium discussion with panelists and a Q&A session will conclude the conference.

The EDA said advance registration for physical attendance is required due to capacity limits resulting from the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

The conference will be also broadcast live via Zoom and the link will be sent to online participants in advance.
