Ukraine and Israel have met to discuss working together on aspects of the dairy industry, the Ukrainian Embassy in Israel announced via Facebook.

An online meeting of the Embassy of Ukraine in the State of Israel, the Ukrainian Milk Manufacturers Association (ABM) and the Israeli Association for the Promotion of Cooperation Israel-Ukraine, the CIS, took place last week.

The purpose of the event was to discuss the state and prospects of bilateral cooperation in the field of dairy animals.

Ukraine said the Israeli side, in particular, “was familiarized with the state, prospects of development and needs of the industry. It was emphasized on the interest of Ukrainian farmers in expanding bilateral cooperation in the following directions: modernization of watering systems; creation of a national center in Ukraine; computerization of dairy farms; export-import of compound feeds, etc; construction in our country of feed centers; and processing of milk products.”

The delegates also agreed to organize a visit of the ABM delegation to Israel in early 2022 to further discuss more details with the relevant Israeli state institutions and private agro companies on promising bilateral projects in defined priority areas.
